Nashville Fishing Report – December 6, 2025
Percy Priest Lake Hybrid & Striper Bite | Nashville Fishing Guides
The jigging bite was absolutely on fire today, and the hybrid and striped bass were stacked thick under the boat from start to finish. Winter fishing on Percy Priest Lake continues to deliver some of the most consistent action of the season, and today was no exception.
We located dense schools in 25–40 feet of water, and as soon as the graph lit up, it was game on. Vertical jigging spoons, blade baits, and 1–1.5 oz jigs produced nonstop hookups. The fish were aggressive, feeding hard, and hitting as fast as we could get baits back to the bottom. When that jig dropped into the school, you barely had time to engage the reel before a hybrid hammered it.
Most hybrids averaged 4–8 pounds, with plenty of stripers mixed in to keep rods bent all morning. The key was staying directly over the schools—once we locked in on them, the screen stayed covered with fish arcs and the bite never slowed.
If you're looking for fast-paced winter action, December is one of the best times to book a guided fishing trip on Percy Priest. Cold water pushes the fish into huge, predictable schools, and jigging trips produce some of the most exciting catches of the year.
